Vanessa

Advisor and close friend, Vanessa and Ivanna maintain a friendship shortly after Ivanna decides to join the world of professional heroes through the heroes' association. At first, their relationship is formal and strict, limited by the responsibility given to Vanessa by the heroes' association to advise Ivanna and introduce her to the world of heroes, as well as teach her her duties and obligations as a member of the association. However, these limitations did not stop Iva from developing a growing admiration for Vanessa, initially due to her wand and her status as a Magical Girl, which had always been interesting and incredible to her since she was a child. This admiration only grew when she saw her in action against multiple monsters, as well as her great responsibility for the safety of civilians in disastrous monster attacks, which only prompted her to put much more effort into her own hero activities to keep civilians and innocents safe from criminals and any monsters that appear because she learns from her that civilians cling to the hope that heroes can provide. Their relationship becomes closer after the monster raid arc, where Ivanna sincerely tells her she felt her heart break at the sight of garou after a long time and she was weirded out by the new feelings she found herself experimenting during the encounter she had with him, showing the trust she has towards vanessa one more time. Her trust is also shown in how she asks for help whenever she thinks is needed since Ivanna often recognizes Vanessa strength and abilities.

Iva has vanessa as an inspiration and a model to follow on her hero journey thanks to her vision of the world, her determination and her strength, she also considered asking if she could be her disciple but after spending time with her she decided she learned better by being her friend than a limited series of lessons once in a while.

Monster Association

Vivi

She was the first real monster Ivanna ever fought; it was a fight that marked and motivated her even more to keep looking for garou after nearly losing her life and wanting to see him one last time after one of Vivi’s attacks. Even if she was a monster, her constant cruel comments and the underestimation Vivi made her pass through she never fully hated her because deep down she believed every single of her comments, she felt she was a coward and weak, but that same anger towards herself made her realize how much she wanted to keep going and change, how she wanted to look Garou and made him realize he could be more or at least see him once more and call him once more her friend and that she missed him because in her opinion one of her mistakes during her encounter was to not make clear how much she needed him and missed him, how it hurt when he got away. She was left with a bittersweet feeling after that fight, she recognized Vivi’s abilities and said that if she didn’t put so much effort into being cruel, she wouldn’t have found the strength to win.

Garou

Childhood friend, best friend and current lover, in her own words: her soulmate, though they took time to formalize it with a term, they have always loved each other in a way only they knew, this mentioned by both of them in different times of the Human Monster Saga. While for the others their relationship could be seen as stuck in the same place and in a friendship, for them it was like growing every day, the love bloomed in more than one way, and it was something only they knew.

Iva and Garou met when they were kids, becoming friends after an ant discussion during a lunch break in school, they both started to look for each other in the breaks they shared, and their affection grew until they became best friends. Their childhood friendship was the only one that Garou genuinely had at the time and Iva would take care of him whenever she could, growing to learn and notice things she didn't before meeting him. When Garou left the school, they promised not to forget themselves and their bond, years later they still held affection for the memories and the promise that they secretly kept, though neither of them could remember clearly each other's faces, there were characteristics that were unforgettable. Iva felt moved when she heard the confirmation of his name but at how Garou acted indifferent, boosted by the shock and overwhelming emotions of their meeting, she took the bus. Despite Garou's initial indifference, deep down he cared and admitted still finding comfort in her care, which angered him. After meeting again Iva thinks she will never see him because he didn't appear to give her the umbrella in person and instead just left it at the stop, yet Garou a day later proves her wrong and shows that he also cared about seeing her again in his own way, going back with the excuse the fabric that covered the umbrella was not with it when he gave it back to her by placing it on the stop, after that day they rediscover their friendship, even recognized the change in Garou's demeanor but still saw the golden and strong heart he had, boosting her trust and deep love and admiration towards him, Garou in his own way started to soften at her presence, letting himself drown in the affection she didn't mind giving to him and the laughs they shared, he find strength in her and that made him feel vulnerable, though that realization didn't suit him right, he felt angry at how vulnerable he was getting and felt it would make him loose sight of his goal, the one that he was close to start, this feelings took a toll on him and burst the second he realized she was a hero and got hurt after being paired with red nose who took most of the credit, after this, mixed up with the feeling he was getting slowed down, he took the decision of leave her side until he reached his goal and after it say a final goodbye to her.

The last months they did not see each other Iva felt scared and concerned for her friend, she felt some kind of resentment towards him due to avoiding her at all costs without a single explanation and also avoiding telling her what he was doing while they spent time together, yet also relief to know he was alive and well in a degree. The first time she saw him again was in a wanted poster and it broke her heart yet felt stronger than ever because she longed to know what was going on in his head, it boosted her will to see him alright. During the Human Monster Saga she began to look for him everywhere, the first time she saw him after his fight with tank top master she pretended to be strong but quickly crumbled and sincere herself to him by telling him to realize what he was doing and to listen to his heart in a desperate attempt to comprehend and get him away to the final result of his hero hunt, the words were no use and after Garou told her they were not friends and implied how weak she was she got angry and sad over how someone she loved was being bluntly cruel and still manage to lie on her face, she opted to cling onto him with all her strength which resulted in them locking gazes in the floor and feel some softness that frustrated Garou and gave hope to Iva, he eventually gets out of her grip and quickly avoids a fight that will not bring him anything more than a pain in the butt. Later, Iva finally finds him again but in a monster form, this took her out of guard for a moment, her feelings towards him during his fight with bang were full of concern and hope, because she was able to see the little moment, he woke up from the monstrosity he built around himself. Cosmic Garou was a heartbreak of her, full of aguish and yearn towards the one she once loved as a friend but also as something else, losing him against evil or what she heard blast call God hurt her beyond any wound she had

After Garou sacrifice and Saitama's help, she showed her unconditional support towards him and, along with Tareo brought life and hope towards Garou's eyes, she was relieved to see the hope in his eyes again and she couldn't help but cry in relief after he was gone. They see each other again, from Garou's part he seemed to be ashamed and relieved to see her well, the moment they shared where he apologized to her as part of his rehabilitation and the rounds he did for the heroes she told him that she was glad to have him back, drowning in love and relief and this being the start of a new step for their relationship, where finally both of them confess their feelings and get into a relationship. The bloom of their relationship was slow but sure, where they made sure that both of them were ready, making Iva finally feel a sense of deep love and affection bloom in a different yet beautiful flower.
